SANTIAGO DE LOS CABALLEROS, República Dominicana.-“En pelota usted da un hit y se queda en primera, hay qué ver que pasa después”, dijo el ex presidente Leonel Leonel Fernández Reyna, al ser preguntado sobre un posible paso del alcalde de Santiago, Abel Martínez, a la Fuerza del Pueblo.

El líder de la Fuerza de Pueblo agregó que por el momento han recibido con los brazos abiertos al diputado Félix Michel Rodríguez y otros dirigentes que han decidido abadonar el PLD.

Fernández Reyna, dijo que no solo del Partido de la Liberación Dominicana(PLD) llegan militantes a su organización, sino que se juramentan personas independientes, que no militaban en ningún partido.

Con la juramentación del diputado Félix Michel Rodríguez, considerado un peledeísta/abelista, ha tomado fuerza el rumor de que el alcalde Martínez podría sumarse a la Fuerza del Pueblo.

El ex presidente Fernández Reyna estuvo acompañado de los principales dirigentes de la Fuerza del Pueblo, en Santiago, José Izquierdo, Raúl Martínez, Hámlet Otáñez y los ex diputados Altagracia González y Desmóstenes Martínez
