La Universidad Nacional Evangélica (UNEV) y su Centro de Estrategias, Innovación y Competitividad Empresarial (CECOMPITE) firmaron un acuerdo marco de cooperación con el Consulado General de Haití en la ciudad de Santiago de los Caballeros.
Con el acuerdo se busca fomentar estudios conjuntos que permitan incidir en los procesos de regularización, mejoría de las condiciones de vida y de trabajo, estabilidad de los inmigrantes haitianos en el país y desarrollar programas de formación.
Esta alianza busca fortalecer las relaciones académicas e institucionales de la diáspora haitiana en la República Dominicana y los jóvenes emprendedores de Haití, atendiendo la relación de hermandad entre los dos países, y en el marco del interés del Consulado General de Haití en esta ciudad.
La iniciativa permitirá trabajar en la formación y capacitación de jóvenes profesionales haitianos, que residen en República Dominicana y en territorio haitiano. Asimismo, también ayudará en la actualización académica a profesionales graduados que no están en la actividad productiva, diseñar, desarrollar diplomados dirigido a 100 profesionales del vecino país.
El pacto fue firmado por; doctor Juan Guerrero Ávila, vicerrector de asuntos internacionales, en representación del rector de la UNEV doctor Epifanio González Minaya, el director de CECOMPITE doctor Leonardo Valverde, y James Jacques, cónsul general de la Embajada de Haití en Santiago de los Caballeros.
El acto se realizó en el recinto de la UNEV-Santiago, en presencia de su director, el doctor José Vanderlinder y del doctor Rafael Reyes Almonte, vicerrector administrativo de la alta casa de estudios superiores.
El acuerdo establece un protocolo de cooperación conjunta de buena voluntad para apoyar el proceso de relacionamiento de las universidades de Haití con la UNEV-CECOMPITE, para fortalecer las competencias de jóvenes profesionales haitianos que viven en el país y en Haití.
La alianza además de incidir en la calidad de vida, promueve el desarrollo de programas de formación y actualización académica, en las áreas de liderazgo, gestión de emprendimiento, en materia ambiental y desarrollo sostenible, revelaron sus promotores. La firma de esta alianza interinstitucional de cooperación tendrá una vigencia de un año.
