“No estoy en la carpintería política, partidaria, pero participo en algunas decisiones de sectores macro”, dijo Mejía, al ser preguntados por periodista a su llegada a la planta de la fábrica Cementos Cibao, donde el presidente Luis Abinader encabezó un acto de inauguración este viernes.
Mejía defendió la política aplicada por el Gobierno del Partido Revolucionario Moderno (PRM) y dijo que el país va por buen camino, a pesar de lo que dicen opositores.
“En días pasados, dijo un expresidente que no eran los números correctos. Pero, la respuesta de los organismos internacionales y el Banco Central, es absolutamente contraria a lo que él dijo”, refirió Mejía.
En otro orden el exmandatario indicó que valora cualquier propuesta de diálogo que se promueva entre sectores políticos, aunque advirtió que, “primero que no es fácil poner de acuerdo a la gente y segundo que si va a una discusión con el expresidente Leonel Fernández, no se sentaría a su lado, sino que lo vería de “lejos”.
