SECTORES SANTIAGO PENDIENTE EVOLUCIÓN SALUD ALCALDE ABEL MARTÍNEZ INTERNO POR CORONAVIRUS

SANTIAGO.-El internamiento la noche del sábado del alcalde de Santiago, Abel Atahualpa Martínez Durán, por sintomas de coronavirus, ha generado preocupación. Muchos amigos, compañeros de partido y allegados han expresado solidaridad y deseo de pronta recuperación para el funcionario.

El alcalde Martínez había estado aislado desde el viernes, por tener algunos síntomas relacionados  al virus y los médicos decidieron someterlo a internamiento, que el vocero del funcionario, Fernando Ramírez, ha dicho que es preventivo.

“El alcalde Abel Martinez ha sido ingresado a un centro médico de Santiago como medida preventiva para llevar a cabo el protocolo adecuado ante síntomas de COVID 19. Su estado es estable, de buen ánimo y con la ayuda de Dios pronto estará de pie trabajando por su Santiago querido”, escribió Ramírez, en su cuenta de Twitter.

Meses atrás Abel Martínez estuvo muy activo con los llamados a la prevención en las comunidades para evitar la expansión de la enfermedad y luego asumió labores de la campaña de su partido.

Al alcalde también se le vio participar de manera muy activa en la campaña electoral del Partido de la Liberación Dominicana (PLD), como director operativo del proceso que promovía al candidato Gonzalo Castillo a la presidencia de la República.

“Agradecemos a todas las personas que se han interesado en el estado de salud del alcalde Abel Martinez, gracias por sus preocupaciones y oraciones. Con la ayuda de Dios todo evolucionará favorablemente y pronto lo tendremos en sus funciones cuidando celosamente la Ciudad Corazon”, dijo Ramírez, en la red social de Twitter.

Operativos del Ministerio de Salud

Desde el viernes 17 de julio del 2020, en la mañana, personal del Ministerio de Salud ha desarrollado un operativo enfocado en tres puntos fuertes que son, primero un programa de desinfección de las áreas, práctica que se habría iniciado de inmediato, en segundo lugar un plan de visitas domiciliarias, para aplicar pruebas a las personas, a fin de identificar aquellos o aquellas que han sido contagiados con el coronavirus.

En tercer lugar las autoridades han consensuado el traslado de las personas que resultaron contagiados y sean identificados a un centro de aislamiento que se ha dispuesto para estos fines, en el sector La Herradura, en un centro facilitado por la Iglesia Católica. También se habilitarán otros centros y se procura aumentar las camas para internamientos en los hospitales, según se ha informado
