El Departamento de Falsificaciones e Investigaciones Especiales del distrito judicial de Santiago, con asiento en la sede la Dirección Regional Cibao Central de la Policía Nacional, citó para este miércoles a dos funcionarios del Ministerio de Salud Pública y Asistencia Social.

Se trata de los médicos Robinson Santos, quien labora en el Gabinete de Salud, y Priena Almonte, ambos de Santiago de los Caballeros.

Hasta el momento, las autoridades no han ofrecido información sobre los motivos de la citación a los médicos, los cuales fueron requeridos en el local de la sede policial por la fiscal Santa Polanco, encargada del Departamento de Falsificaciones.

Al ser cuestionado por periodistas y reporteros en la sede de la Policía, el médico Robinson Santos aseguró que se trataba de una “mala interpretación”.

“Simplemente un titular mal elaborado. No existe nada de falsificación”, afirmó Santos, sin abundar en los detalles.

Al inicio del presente Gobierno, Santos fue nombrado como encargado de la Dirección Provincial de Salud III, de Santiago. Posteriormente se anunció que sería promovido a un cargo en el Gabinete de Salud.
