El presidente Luis Abinader efectuó este martes un largo recorrido oficial por Santiago, donde participó en inauguraciones matizadas por la lluvia y las arengas reeleccionistas.

“Lo que diga Abinader”, se leía en una gorra que llevaba un militante del Partido Revolucionario Moderno (PRM) que presidente divisó cuando era centro de atención en la inauguración de la carretera entre los municipios serranos Sabana Iglesia y Jánico.

Otros simpatizantes exhibían indumentaria de la campaña electoral pasada, con las cuales hacían promoción al entonces candidato del PRM.

La obra inaugurada en el municipio de Sabana Iglesia consiste en un tramo de 6.3 kilómetros, en hormigón, con una inversión de 174.6 millones de pesos aportados por la Empresa de Generación Hidroeléctrica Dominicana (EGEHID), institución que promueve la construcción de la presa de Las Placetas, en San José de las Matas.

Como parte de los agradecimientos por la obra el alcalde de Sabana Iglesia, el expeledeísta Rodolfo Reyes, comparó al presidente Luis Abinader  con Jesucristo.

“Entiendo que el presidente es el primero entre sus iguales en un país y viene siendo también, guardando el divino respeto, como el representante de Jesucristo en la patria donde gobierna. Lo que entiendo es que este señor presidente ha traído la paz, ha traído la armonía, la esperanza”,  dijo el alcalde y aprovechó para pedir una serie de obras para las comunidades de sus municipios.

Abinader también dejó inaugurada el área de Emergencia del hospital de Sabana Iglesia, con una inversión de RD$ 28 millones, según confirmaron  funcionarios del  Servicio Nacional de Salud (SNS).

En este centro, el presidente entregó una ambulancia y anunció que se equiparía el centro de salud con una inversión adicional de unos RD$ 60 millones.

“¿Qué habría sido del país si en el 2020 no habría sido usted el presidente?”, se preguntó el presidente del Senado, Eduardo Estrella, al resaltar las obras del Gobierno.

Según el senador de Santiago, el Gobierno del PRM “hace con RD$ 2.00 lo que en el pasado se hacía con  RD$ 10.00,  lo que lo convierte en un ejemplo de ahorro y transparencia”.

En una cuarta actividad en Santiago, el presidente Luis Abinader dio el primer palazo para la rehabilitación de la planta de tratamiento de agua potable Noriega II, con cuya puesta en operación la Corporación del Acueducto y Alcantarillado de Santiago (Coraasan) beneficiará a 250 mil personas de los municipios Licey al Medio, Puñal, Tamboril y Santiago de los Caballeros.

La Noriega II que será rehabilitada a un costo de RD$237 millones 583 mil 404 y aportará al sistema de distribución de agua potable 23 millones de galones diarios de agua potable, según las cifras oficiales.

Al final de este acto, que se desarrolló bajo una intensa lluvia,  decenas de personas vitorearon al presidente de la República con la petición de cuatro años más en el poder.

La agenda presidencial de este martes se inició con los trabajos para el saneamiento del Arroyo Gurabo en Santiago, proyecto que contempla una inversión estimada de RD$1,392 millones 412 mil 575, con una proyección de tiempo de ejecución de dos años. El saneamiento del arroyo  Gurabo impactaría a un millón de habitantes.

En el recorrido, el presidente Abinader animó el primer palazo de un proyecto de viviendas en el distrito municipal Hato del Yaque, donde se levantarán 1, 200 casas.

La agenda cierra con encuentros del presidente con sectores comunitarios, empresariales y de la comunicación.
